Széchenyi Nemzetközi Gimnázium was founded on a single conviction: that a rigorous Hungarian gimnázium education, delivered in Hungarian and English, can hold its own against any international curriculum in the world.
Fifteen years and four campuses later, we continue to test that conviction every day — in the quality of teaching, in the standards we set for ourselves, and in the universities to which our graduates are admitted.

Our flagship campus occupies a restored 19th-century civic building in the V. kerület, steps from the Danube. 22 classrooms, a 260-seat recital hall, and three boarding houses in the adjacent residence.

Explore Debrecen campusLocated in the Education City academic district, our Qatar campus occupies a 3.5-hectare site with 26 classrooms, a 220-seat performing arts hall, and three boarding houses.
Explore Doha campusIn the Çankaya district, with views of the Ankara citadel. A modern purpose-built building with 16 classrooms, a cultural studies centre, and landscaped grounds.

Single session at 11:00. Meet the boarding team, tour the Nagyerdő grounds, and sit in on a sample English literature lesson with Year 10.
Online session for families in the Gulf and Türkiye. Bilingual (English / Hungarian). Registration required — joining link sent 24 hours in advance.
Five-day orientation for new students at all four campuses. Campus walks, staff introductions, Hungarian language placement for the HLI programme, boarding-house induction.
Applications for 2026–2027 entry close on 30 April. Late applications are reviewed in a second round through June, subject to availability. Assessment slots in Budapest and Debrecen are nearly full; a small number remain in Doha and Ankara.
How to applyYear 10 and 11 pupils from the Budapest and Debrecen campuses qualified for the national final in Szeged after the Kürschák regional round. Their preparation was led by Bálint Farkas, Head of Mathematics.
Our academic programmeInformation sessions at 10:00 and 14:00, with a Q&A chaired by the Principal between the two. Individual consultations with the admissions team are available by appointment.
Reserve a place73% of our students passed the Hungarian Érettségi, with 24% achieving jeles (distinction) in four or more subjects. 14 graduates were admitted to the top-five Hungarian universities; 31 to universities in the UK, EU, or North America.
